About the Teachers

Owner of Get Up and Move Preschool
Tuesday & Thursday teacher

My name is Courtney Hansen and I graduated from the University of Utah with a degree in Human Development and Family Studies with an emphasis in Early Childhood (aka, Child Development). I taught Preschool at Little Scholar's Preschool in Saratoga Springs, UT. Since teaching at Little Scholar's, I had always wanted and planned to teach a preschool of my own. I opened up my preschool in Fall 2016 and had an amazing school year with the best possible students and supportive parents! Shortly after opening, my husband and I were surprised to find out we were expecting our third son! Because of this I decided to take the next few years off from teaching preschool to devote all the energy I had into raising and teaching my own children, with the plan to return to teaching preschool as soon as the timing was right. We have now had another amazing year of preschool and I can't wait to teach again! I love to dance, create, and teach. Because of my background, I believe I would teach your children best by helping them learn through movement. Like many toddlers, I am a kinesthetic learner and strongly believe children not only have the most fun and stay focused better by moving and playing, but I also believe learning comes more naturally to children when they are active.

Rhonda Ricks
This class is TBA: Monday & Wednesday teacher

My name is Rhonda Ricks, I’ve worked in the early childhood education field for eleven years, and most recently taught two years at Little Readers Academy, in Spanish Fork. When Courtney mentioned to me that she was re-opening, I jumped on the chance to come back and work with her again at Get up and Move Preschool. We work well together and have a blast doing this preschool gig. I'm a wife and mom of two--soon to be three! I love to dance, bake, read, be silly, laugh, and teach. Teaching is something I have a great passion for and I love every aspect of it. I am excited to teach your child this year, and to help them achieve so much, all while playing and having fun!
